THANKSGIVING- THE SECRET TO BLESSINGS

Psalm 107 :1 "Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good ! For his mercy endures forever".

When the devil wants to attack and finish you, he raises issues around you to divert you from God to isolate you and make you feel helpless. A fellow may have a problem of Joblessness and in the midst of the years of unemployment a word from a false prophet comes to tell you he has prophetically seen that your father is behind your problem . Your attention is now shifted from Joblessness to the story that your father is a wizard behind the problems in your career or life in general. This might be a lie but only makes you stop communicating with your mother and any one that says otherwise. In the end you miss your fathers blessings and prayers and turn against him. The problem expands to depression and isolation from family and fellowship with brethren and will extend to you feeling that going to church isn't worth it, you just want to be alone . Then the devil has succeeded in drawing you away from familyand fellowship with brethren .

Attacks now increase to sickness, or nightmares etc. These are cobwebs to distract and magnify your problem. In the end, if grace is not available to the fellow, he looses his salvation.

But if this fellow decided to focus on what Good things he is seeing God do around him and in his life, then it will bring a heart of thanksgiving which opens the windows of heaven unto us.

How should this be done?
Psalm 9:1 "I will give thanks to you Lord, with all my heart, i will tell of all your wonderful deeds"

Psalm 107:31-32 "Oh that men would give thanks to the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people , and praise him in the company of the elders".

Phillipians 4:6 "Be anxious for nothing , but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving , let your request be made known to God".

Why?
Psalm 107:43. Whoever is wise will observe these things . And they will understand the loving kindness of the Lord.

Jeremiah 30 :19 Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them and they shall not be small"

Prayer points: I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the Lord most high.
