A REVELATION ABOUT CURSES


In Genesis 12:1-3. 

God gave Abraham seven promises 1) he will make him a great nation, 2) He will bless him, 3) He will make his name great, 4) He will be a blessing, 5) He will bless those who bless him, 6) He will curse those who curse him, 7) All people on earth will be blessed through him. When you pay attention to verse 3, the 6th blessing, God said he will curse them that curse him. All the blessings will not come to pass upon Abraham if a curse comes and the curse stays upon his life. Curses are things that have limited destinies and brought men that should stand high low.
 In Numbers 22:1-35, Balak saw all Isreal had done to the Amorites and the Moabites were Afraid of the isrealites and summoned the elders. Balak was king of Moab at that time and in verse 6, Balak asked Balaam to curse the Isrealites. That was the tactics the Moab decided to use against the Isrealites. Balak believed they would prevail over the Isrealites is they are cursed. 

A curse is a platform upon which evil powers can hang on to defeat a person. Balaam did everything to curse Isreal but on his way he was warned by an angel not to curse the Isrealites, he still went ahead to carrying seven bulls, seven rams on seven altars but yet God made him turn around to bless the Isrealites. A curse is one area christians do not pay so much attention on. if a curse is taken care of , every other thing becomes unheard of. 

A curse is a platform for defeat. Proverbs 26:2 "As the bird by wandering, as a swallow by flying, so a curse without cause shall not alight." This means that the curse cannot come upon a person without a cause, that is, if there is no reason. 

The foundation of curses

Deuteronomy 28:15. Disobedience of God's command and laws is the primary reason why curses come. Exodus 20:1-5 shows all the commandments of God concerning worship of other gods. Bowing down and serving other gods is great disobedience because he is a jealous God and he says any one who does any of this is someone that hates me and he will visit up to the fourth generation with a curse. The enemy can trace the lineage of people and curse them based on the link to their ungodly foundations.

 In 2 Samuel 1:21 David cursed the mountain of Gilboa after Saul died that there will be no dew nor rain or showers on that mountain  because saul died there. The mountain is still a waste till this time, with no grass.

What can bring curses

• Ungodly foundation by our parents
• The sin of Idolatry is punished from the third and fourth generation.In the Niger delta region of Nigeria, It is difficult to go two or more generations without finding a connection to water spirits or marine worship.
• When you bring cursed items or idolatry items to your house, your house will become cursed. At Joshua's time, Achan had taken a cursed item into their midst and the glory of God departed from them. Exodus 23:32
• Ungodly convenants: Sometimes this convenants are unknown to us. For example, by becoming a partner through sowing seed to a satanic ministry. one can bring a curse upon once self.
• Trusting in Man: Jeremiah 17:5 - Cursed be the man that trusted in man and make flesh his arm of who has departed from the Lord.
• Misinterpreting or misapplication of the word of God: If any man preaches any gospel rather than what is accepted unto you, let him be cursed.
• Any one that swears can be cursed Zechariah 5:1-5
• Not paying tithes and offerings can bring a curse upon you. Malachi 3:9
• Self inflicted curse: You can inflict a curse upon yourself. for example in Genesis 27:13 Rebekah inflicted a curse on herself. In Proverbs 1:2The things we say in difficult situations can bring a curse on yourself. The words of our mouth can becomes a snare, Life and death are in the power of the tongue.In difficult situations, what we say can bring a curse upon us.
• Dishonouring your parents
• Wrong spiritual authority: Being under a wrong spiritual authority becomes an avenue for a curse. Rev 2:20- Jezebel in her evil as a prophet was a teacher and mislead God's servant.
• Eating demonic food or communion in an unholy place gives an opening for a curse because the food is sacrificed to Idols
• Ungodly consultation from fake prophets.
• sometimes you do not do anything to bring a curse, it is just the wickedness of people, just as Balaam was hired to curse Isreal.

 
How to deal with curses

1. Acknowledge that it is only God that can deliver from a curse. Confess and be saved.
2. Let go of unforgiveness
3. Believe in Gods word . Galatians 3:13. Christ has removed the curse for us by hanging on a cross. Romans 8 vs 1-2 There is no more condemnation for those in christ jesus. For the law in Christ jesus has made us free from sin and death
4. Deuteronomy 32:31. it is not by their numbers. Two can chase ten thousand because the defense of the ten thousand will be broken by God.
5. Mathew 18:18-19. When two or three are gathered in God's name he is there. A curse can be broken by the power of our Lord Jesus Christ.  

It is difficult to break curses without being born again. Pray the prayer below to give your life to our Lord Jesus Christ and receive deliverance from any curse upon your life.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, please forgive me all my sins and trespasses. Renew me and cleanse me with your blood. Help me through all my difficulties and deliver me from any curse placed upon my life. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

THE PRESENCE OF GOD

"PSALM 16 :11" In thy presence is fullness of Joy,,,

God's desire is that his presence goes with us every where we go. Adam was meant to retain God's presence and make God's presence grow with him but Adam  made a mistake. Emmanuel is God with us to bring God's presence to us.

Many things that happen are at the point of the presence of God. The devil wants to constantly make us do things that will drive us away from the presence of God because he knows that everything we need from God can be gotten by the presence of God. "Exodus 33:1-6" The Isrealites had seen the presence of God. God told Moses about his promise to Abraham and that he would send an angel before them to drive out the various tribes residing in the land he had sworn to their fathers. Because they were a stiff necked people, God told them an Angel will go with them and that his presence will not go with them. If God goes with them and they resist him he may show his anger upon them. "Exodus 33:7-13" Moses entered into the tabernacle of God and God talked with Moses there. The Isrealites saw the cloud at the altar of his tabernacle and worshiped God.

God spoke to Moses as a man speaks to a friend. After Moses's time with God, in "Exodus 33:14" God said my presence shall go with thee even though he initially said he will not go with them. It is dangerous to be in the presence of God and not obey him. Because his presence can consume you if he gets angry with you. Every christian needs to enter the holy of holies. Now every christian can experience the presence of God. "Hebrew 10:19" We can enter the holy of holies by the blood of the lamb.

WHY SEEK GOD'S PRESENCE

"There are things that remain until the presence of God comes"  Psalm 114:1-8 When the presence of God came in Judah, the sea looked and fled, the Jordan turned back. the mountains leaped like rams, the hills like lambs. Someone asked the sea, the Jordan , the mountain and hills why they fled, turned back and leaped like rams and lambs.

"Isaiah 64:1-4" Things that can take years to solve are solved instantly, at the presence of God mountains tremble. God is everywhere but when his presence is concentrated on a person or place, things that seem impossible flee at his presence. "Micah 1:3-4" Mountains melted as wax in God's presence. There is nothing the presence of God cannot do. "Luke 1:5-10" There is righteousness before Man and righteousness before God. Zechariah and his wife were righteous before God. but they were childless. While on his spiritual assignment worshiping, an Angel of the Lord appeared and spoke to him that his prayers have been answered and his wife will bear a son. He did not believe, so the angel introduced himself as Gabriel and that he stands in the presence of God and so he told Zechariah that because he doubted he will not be able to speak until the day this happened.

What determines where we are, is how saturated we are with the presence of God. Our problem is no match for the presence of God. Mountains have melted as if it is just wax. Whatever we can do to activate God's presence around us, we have to constantly do it.

When prayer is ceaseless with a pure heart the presence of God is there
Where the word of God is read out there is power and God's presence.
"Eph 5: 18-20"- The presence of God can be experienced by making melody with Psalms and hymns from our heart.
always giving thanks to God in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Psalm 24:7 Let the king of glory come in.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me all my sins and cleanse me from all my iniquities. Cancel my name from the book of death and place my name in the book of life. Come into my life and Let me experience your presence Jehovah God in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ i pray.

The dangers of DEPRESSION and FRUSTRATION

THE DANGERS OF DEPRESSION AND FRUSTRATION

Elijah was frustrated and depressed and so ran from Jezebel. Jezebel had decreed that she would kill Elijah " I kings 19: 1-8" When Elijah the great prophet heard this he fled and hid in a cave. He was tired and was afraid of death, but this was only because he got frustrated and depressed from the attack from Jezebel. He probably felt he had been strong for too long and just wanted to be free from attacks. His depression led him to hid from Jezebel a woman. 

Elijah the prophet had destroyed the altars of Baal by just a word of prayer and killed all the prophets of Baal "1 kings 18:25-40".

He killed two groups of captains and their fifty men by calling down fire from heaven to destroy them and the third group was only spared because they pleaded with Elijah "2 Kings 1:9-15".

This same Elijah now had to run from the wicked wife of Ahab called Jezebel, just because he was frustrated and depressed and tired of battle. God met him and because of God's love for him. God ended his assignment and told him to hand over to a man called Elisha. God knew that frustration and depression would make Elijah vulnerable to the enemy's attacks and so had to call him home. He was swept off by the chariots of fire from Jehovah God. His flesh did not decay neither did he die. He was called home.

Moses was a friend of God. God told him everything he was about to do . God used Moses to perform signs and wonders for the Israelites. Yet the Isrealites kept on complaining and troubling Moses. In Exodus 17:1-7.

 God instructed Moses to provide water for the Isrealites by striking the rock, but Moses in anger over the frustration and depression went ahead to smite the rock though water came out of the rock Numbers 27:12-14 Jehovah God saw that Moses was angry, frustrated and depressed and had in the process hindered God's honour.

God decided to end his assignment by calling him home Numbers 27:12-14. God took Moses, his body never decayed nor did he die because God loved him but had to call him home so he would not loose him to the enemy. God knew that his vulnerable state would make him yield to the enemy's attacks if he remained and so decided to call him home before that happens.

Are you a born again christian depressed and frustrated by the battles of life, be careful not to become too depressed and frustrated that God  will call short your ministry on earth.You need to snap out of that depression and  frustration right now!!!. It is the devils tool to make you vulnerable to his attacks.
